What are the Tour Purse Opportunities?
  • Offering a purse of $700,000 each week, Pro Tour Hawaii open events present golfers, both men and women, a challenging series of nine 4-day professional tournaments (click here for payout schedule).
  • The Tournament of Champions, held Week Nine, offers tournament winners and top overall money winners a chance to vie for the title of Pro Tour Hawaii Tour Champion and $1.2 Million championship purse.


What is the Tour format?

  • 4 day, 72 hole tournament in 9 stages.
  • An international field with up to123 competitors per event
  • Field cut after the third day to top 55 golfers
  • An Open competition format, both men and women golfers
  • Weekly qualifiers: $100 per qualifier for non-exempt players 
  • Affordable entry fees: $400 per 4-day event
  • Complimentary practice rounds for event players
  • No membership costs
  • No obligation to play in all events


Who participates in Saturday Qualifiers?

  • All non-exempt players must qualify to participate in Pro Tour Hawaii events
  • Exemptions offered to top finishers of:

    • Canadian Tour
    • Canadian Women’s Tour
    • China Golf Tour
    • European Challenge Tour
    • Japan Golf Tour Organization
    • JLPGA
    • KPGA

    • South African Tour

  • Pro Tour Hawaii weekly money winners are exempt for the following week
  • Saturday Qualifiers are for all remaining non-exempt positions up to 123 players


Do I have to play in all events?


Pro Tour Hawaii participants can compete in one or more events or the entire series.  There is no requirement to play in all tour events.

HAWAII GOLF FACTS

1924 Hilo Country Club opens with 9 holes; it is the second golf layout on the Big Island of Hawaii. The course is sold in 1974, and no longer exists.

1926
Francis H. Brown wins the Manoa Cup for the 1926 Hawaiian Amateur Match Play Championship at Oahu Country Club, his fifth win. The tournament format changes from stroke play to match play in 1926.
