1922 Volcano Golf & Country Club opens with 18 holes on the Island of Hawaii, at
Kilauea Volcano. The oldest Big Island course, it is redesigned by Arthur Jack
Snyder in 1967.
1938 Ironwood Hills Golf Club (originally the Hanakekua Golf Club) opens at Kualapuu
on Molokai as a 9-hole layout built for Scottish
workers at Dole Pineapple Plantation.
This private course is redesigned in 1990 by
Pastorino and Lawson.
